Join us on Saturday\, September 12th\, as we proudly host our annual Fall Movie Night Park event—the ultimate way to celebrate the changing seasons and connect with the community. \nIf you are looking to sign up to be a vendor at our market here is the registration link: \nhttps://forms.gle/kHEurX1uhBTsvt538 \nImagine settling down under the crisp evening stars in Potter Greens Park (924 Picard Drive NW). We’ll be setting up our giant\, state-of-the-art outdoor screen right as the sun sets\, creating a magical atmosphere you won’t find anywhere else. We anticipate a massive turnout of between 800 to 1200 people\, making this one of our most popular gatherings. To ensure you get the best viewing spot\, we strongly recommend arriving well before the screening time. Bring your comfiest blankets\, durable lawn chairs\, and perhaps a warm sweater or sleeping bag to stay cozy! \nWhile the movie title is still TBD (a family-friendly blockbuster is guaranteed—check back on this page next week for the big reveal!)\, your community league guarantees a full and festive experience. No outdoor movie is complete without snacks! Be sure to hit up the classic community league concession stand. We’ll be serving up all your favourites\, including piping hot hot dogs\, fresh-popped buttery popcorn\, refreshing pop\, and a wide selection of irresistible candy. Proceeds from the concession directly support other fantastic community programming throughout the year. \nThe Fall Movie Night Park is completely free to attend\, thanks to the hard work of our volunteers and the generous support of our local sponsors. DESCRIPTION:The Executive Board of the Lewis Estates Community League officially invites all members to attend our Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Tuesday\, October 3rd\, 2026. This is the single most important meeting of the year\, providing you\, our valued members\, with a direct voice in the direction\, finances\, and future operations of our community league. \nThe AGM will be held at Browns Socialhouse (see address/map below)\, with sign-in beginning promptly at 10:30am. The formal meeting will commence at 10:30am. Please bring proof of membership\, as voting rights are reserved for active Lewis Estates Community League members. If you are unsure of your membership status\, please contact our Membership Director prior to the meeting. \nDuring the meeting\, the board will present the past year’s activity report\, the league’s audited financial statements\, and our goals for the upcoming year. This is your chance to learn exactly how your membership fees and fundraising efforts are being utilized to support programs like our Movie Night in the Park\, youth sports\, and facility maintenance. Furthermore\, several key volunteer board positions are up for election.
