SUMMARY:Movie Night in the Park
DESCRIPTION:September 6\, 2025 we will be hosting our annual Movie Night in the Park. This year’s movie is: \nWild Robot\nMarket – 5:00 – 8:00pm\nWe will have a Market of local vendors from 5-8 pm\, so bring a shopping bag and show them some support. (Want to join our event as a VENDOR? Please scroll down to see more information and sign up link!) \n\nConcession – 6:00pm\nConcession will open at 6pm\, serving hotdogs\, popcorn\, chocolate bars\, chips\, candy cups\, pop\, and juice ​($1/ticket\, 1 ticket per item). \n\nMovie – Starting at dusk\nBring your own chairs and blankets. \nQuick Reminder: Please do not block ‘aisles’ with wagons. Set them up beside you or fold them up to keep lanes open for kids using the toilets during the movie. \nOnce the movie is over\, please don’t leave yet! Fireworks start when the movie credits have ended! Hope to see you there! \n\nVolunteers\nWe could still use a couple of community volunteers for various jobs during the event. \nIf you would like to help out\, please email events@lecl.org! \n\nMarket Vendors\nCALLING ALL MARKET VENDORS – join us for our annual LECL Movie Night in the Park! \n\n10- 15 tables available ( limit of 1 per vendor). Vendor to provide their own table/set up.\nLocal\, homemade vendors are given 1st preference\, food items MUST be prepackaged.\n$25 per table.\n\nIf you are interested in signing up\, please use this link to apply: \nMarket Vendor Application Form (Google Doc) \nPlease Note: \n\nApplications will be taken until August 28 @ noon.\nAll applicants will be notified of their application’s success via email.\nIf approved\, payment must be made within 24 hours to secure your spot (e-transfer email will be provided to successful applicants).\nCancellation deadline: Sept 1.\nLECL Events reserves the right to decline based on too many vendors and/or duplication of product(s) – No MLM products\, please.\nParking on Picard Drive and set up can begin @ 4 p.m.\n\n

DESCRIPTION:West Meadows Baptist Church – Parking Lot\n9333 199th Street\, Edmonton\, AB\, Canada T5T 6E8 \nHi Tech Recycling and Edmonton Goodwill will be on site! \nA current LECL Community League Membership is required for this event! You may purchase a membership on site\, or online HERE before you arrive. \nPlease have your number ready for the volunteers in order to check in. \nNOTE: Residents are reminded to secure their load properly by tying large items to their vehicle and covering loose material with a tarp. \n\nLewis Estates Community League will be hosting a big bin event for members with garbage bins and house hold and office electronics being accepted. \nMaterials Accepted: \n\nCouches\, chairs\, mattresses and other household furniture items too large for curbside pickup\nComputers\, televisions and other household or small office electronics (will be recycled)\nYard waste\, including branches no longer than 1.2 metres (4 feet) by 0.75 metres (2.5 feet) in diameter\nEdmonton GoodWill\, scroll down for guidelines in image below.\nHI-Tech Recyclers\, scroll down for guidelines in image below\n\nMaterials Not Accepted: \n\nCommercial waste\nHousehold hazardous waste – please take to an Eco Station\, they will be accepted at no charge\nNo fridges or freezers\n\nLarge items\, or unreasonable loads will be at the discretion of community league volunteers.
